By Tony Parker. FIRST UNITED STATES EDITION, published in 1976 by Taplinger Publishing, Hard cover book with dust jacket, 186 pages. The author has assembled a composite portrait of the everyday lives of British lighthouse keepers and their families when the lighthouses were staffed by the last of the keepers from his true life interviews with them. This is a first class study of the keepers and a genuine metaphor of the human condition. This book is a good read and a true slice of lighthouse history. The book was later published in a soft cover edition. This hard cover edition is in good condition and would make a great addition to any lighthouse collection.

This book is part of our collection of very old and rare books. Some are highly collectible and out of print. Some were donated to assist in our ongoing research. Since these are either very old, rare, out of print, collectible books, they are sold AS IS with no returns.
