Acts passed at The First Session of Congress of the Twenty-Third Congress

Government Publication nearly 200 years old

Published by the United States Government in 1831 during the presidency of Andrew Jackson. This is the complete publication of 164 pages plus an appendix of 75 pages of all the acts passed by the Congress of the United States in that year. This publication is approximately 5¾”W x 9”H including everything that was acted upon relating to lighthouses or other aids to navigation and wide range of other items.

The Appendix has a proclamation issued by the President of a Treaty of Navigation and Commerce between the United States and His Majesty the Emperor of all the Russia’s.

It also has a proclamation by the president announcing a Treaty between the United States of America and the Seminole Indians whereby the Seminole Indians relinquish all claims to the territory of Florida and agree to move out of Florida.  This copy has some water stains on the cover but is in good condition. The interior pages are showing signs of browning with some brown age spots. But for being nearly 200 years old, it is in remarkably good shape. Should be stored in air-tight plastic bag for preservation purposes. This is an actual authentic part of American history that you won’t come across every day and would make a great addition to any collection.
