FIRST EDITION, Hard cover, with dust jacket, published in 1987 by Terence Dalton Ltd. of Suffolk,England, 270 pages, gilt (gold) spine.

The beach men are perhaps best remembered as the men who manned the Norfolk and Suffolk lifeboats and were justly regarded as heroes; but in their salvage operations the hard bargains they drove when a ship was in difficulties often earned them the contrasting description of “longshore sharks” and “pirates.”  Numerous photographs throughout. This copy is in excellent condition and very scarce in the United States.

This book is part of our collection of very old and rare books. Some are highly collectible and out of print. Some were donated to assist in our ongoing research. Since these are either very old, rare, out of print, collectible books, they are sold AS IS with no returns.
