By Ruth Carmen
Hard Cover. First Edition 1947, no dust jacket, published by John C. Yorston Publishing Co., 321 pages. Includes a few historic images of Boston Light on glossy pages. Other papers are poor quality paper that was used in many books published in that era. The book is a fictionalized account of Georgia Norwood, daughter of keeper Ralph Norwood and his wife Josephine. The book was so popular in its time that a movie was planned on the book, but when Mrs. Norwood would not allow five year old Georgiato play herself in the movie, Hollywood canned the movie plans. The cover is fading on this copy and the binding is starting to come loose, but it would still make a nice addition to any lighthouse collection.
This book is part of our collection of very old and rare books. Some are highly collectible and out of print. Some were donated to assist in our ongoing research. Since these are either very old, rare, out of print, collectible books, they are SOLD AS IS with no returns.
